Geocoding
How can I geocode a large number of addresses?
The RCC-GIS Geocoding Service can be used for this purpose. If you have more addresses than your credit allocation allows, you can request additional credits from the help desk.
My geocoding job is failing. What could be the problem?
Geocoding failures can be due to several reasons, including incorrect file formatting, special characters in the data, or exceeding your credit limit. Ensure your CSV file is properly formatted and that you have sufficient credits. If the issue persists, you can seek assistance from the help desk.
Is the online geocoding service HIPAA compliant?
No, but we do have options for HIPAA-compliant geocoding. It is recommended to consult with the RCC-GIS team for specific guidance on how to handle Protected Health Information (PHI) securely.

How do I install ArcGIS Pro on a Mac?
ArcGIS Pro is a Windows-based application. To run it on a Mac, you will need to use virtualization software like Parallels or access it through the University's Virtual Lab (VLab).
How can I access specific datasets like the Esri Advanced Demographics?
To access specialized datasets, you can submit a request to the GIS team, specifying the data you need and the context of your project.
Can I get help converting a map from a PDF or JPG to a GIS-compatible format?
Yes, you can request assistance with converting map files into a format that can be used within ArcGIS.
